HELP! I have spent the last 2 evenings trying to find out
if the HP series 722c printer is compatible with
windowsXP. What I did find out is I do have the correct
driver installed, however at windows website where it
lists printers that are compatible with XP, the hp 656c
series is listed but NO 700C SERIES! This I do not
understand!!! Anyone out there know why? Do I need to
replace my 700c series printer? #$%^^%&^&%^$%$%$

The drivers are included with XP. I have that model and it works fine.

Same problem with the Epson 660 inkjet, but the win 2k driver works fairly
well. You could try the win2000 driver. May work or partly work. Seems
printers and scanners have a lot of problems being compatible. Not really
Microsofts problems as much as it is with manufactures.

The XP drivers will allow the 722C to operate but will limited it's
functions to just basic printing. You will lose double sided printing,
etc. A software solution is available called FinePrint from
http://www.fineprint.com/index.html . I don't recall off hand what it
cost me but it will give back most if not all your 722C's capabilities
and then some.
