I have a friend that's having a vaugue problem, his old
reliable IBM 750 running 98 or 95 (yes, VAUGE) PC soak
up water and cease running, due to suspected PSU
failure.. The gent want's some files from his HD, and a
fresh PSU doesn't seem to fit the bill (read proprietry
hardware PSU ((odd connectors))) - so my first new
thought is to throw the drive in as a slave to *this PC* -
but, I mumble to myself, as XP and 98 use different
formattins, I hesitate to plug and pray... so am asking
the (hopefully online) community; can I take an old, 95
or 98 OS drive, and throw it on the IDE of the working
computor thats running XP, with the goal of accesing said
drive, and retrieving and saving files?
Hope to recieve a response soonest wizened understanding
ones.
