memory not recognized

Reading this post reminded me of another post I read the
other day.

Check the amount reported by Windows in Control Panel -
System -
General (right-click on My Computer and select Properties).

The amount reported there should be correct (512 mb). If
so then what
you are seeing in the System Information utility is a
known issue that
has not yet been fixed. It is purely cosmetic.
