XP keeps freezing up after a hour being on

xp keeps freezin up after an hour ive been on i tried
everything is this normal or can i do something about this.

Start troubleshooting with the usual: running as few programs as possible
to eliminate software conflicts as a source of the trouble.

However, if this is like clockwork (always about an hour), suspect a heat
problem. Check fans, clean out dust, make sure air vents are clear. If it
persists, disconnect all but the essential peripherals. If still a problem,
have a local tech check out the system for you.
