I have Radeon 7000 Video card with TV out, and I
connected a S-video cable to my TV, and when I re-booted,
the Desktop Icons changed from just having the text below
the folder to a box around the text. As an example, the
Internet Explore Icon would have that text below the
folder/icon with a solid box around the text. I have
looked through all of the desktop properties to see how
to change it, but no luck. Any suggestions would be
helpful. Thanks Tom

Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance, Settings. Scroll down and
check Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop. Note, this will not
work if you have any web content enabled on your desktop.

Doug, Thanks, but what would be a web-content item. I
have not made any changes, except for connecting the S-
video and selecting the 2 monitor scenario within the
settings. Are there any other setting I should use or
check to enable the TV out option. Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't think the TV out option would cause it. Web Content is just that,
html pages and the like, that can be embedded in the Desktop. Right click
the Desktop, select Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web tab to see
if there is any enabled.
