I was trying to rename a folder, and got an error message- folder cannott be
renamed, an error has occured.
Everything in that folder is gone now- and was fine before I tried to
rename- can anyone help me figure out what happened and where those messages
went?
Thank you,
Nancy

If you were renaming from Windows Explorer, then you screwed up OE's
folders.dbx references. Try renaming the folder back to what it was, and
it should re-appear in OE's folder list.

No, I was renaming from inside Outlook Express - though Windows Explorer was
open to the same folder- would that have had something to do with it?

No, just looking with WinEx shouldn't do anything. I would advise you
check out www.tomsterdam.com the "Inside OE" section for more help on
how to fix folder view problems. It is possible that if you see a folder
in Windows Explorer but not in OE, you can restore the view by
recreating folders.dbx. See
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/problems/errors.htm#foldersdbx
At worst, you will have to restore your folder hierarchy, if any.
