Paint XP can't open

For some time now, every time i click paint, it opens a
screen that sais something like Pain has encountered a
problem. So now i cant use Paint. Any advice on how to
fix the problem would be appreciated.

Try writing down the entire error and give that to us. Might help us
diagnose a little better.

What is the exact error message?
Does it match this?

This does not say Windows XP, however it did recreate the key on a
Windows XP Computer so This may fix the issue if this is your message.
