This is such an easy answer I am surprised you didn't get
more responses. You need to get the updated drivers for
all of you stuff. Mouse,keyboard,modem,sound card, video
card and so on. You will have to go to each manufacturers
site and get the drivers for XP. The generic ones that
come with XP do not allow full functionality just the bare
minimum and that causes system freeze up when your stuff
calls for advanced functions that should be available to
it but aren't because the drivers aren't the full ones.
