Could be the plugin that they are using and not us. Whats one of the site
URLs? I can check it.

for a while these sites would correctly read MP 9 as MP 9 and then now
nearly every site i go to reads it as MP 7.1 (and it locks up /
sometimes crashes giving me some kind of ntdll error at the same
address); here is a sample site:

http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1808406133&cf=trailer

does it both in netscape 7.02 and ie6 as well as msn 8

Yeah that works fine for me, I wonder if the Yahoo java embedding is whats
causing this. Does it only happen on embedded content?

not just embedded. seems to lock up an aweful lot though. had to use
Real One as my default media player (which I do not like but left me
no choice)

Browse this page: http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html

He's a developer here and might have something on there that can help.
Maybe the player install is just bad on the machine.
