I have a Vivitar 3500 Digital camera for the
past 2 years. I recently purchased a new computer
with Windows XP on it. The camera software loads
but the drivers are not operating, I can not access
the camera. There is no driver for XP from the
manufacturer. What can I do to get the camera working?
I never had this trouble with Windows 98. Perhaps there
may be some type of universal digital camera driver.

I myself have a Vivitar 3500 digital camera, I couldn't fine a driver for the camera online anywhere. So this is what I have done to address the matter.
I found a HP PRINTER, P-1000 PHOTOSMART series.UBS Plugin.
I found it in a Walmart in South Bend,Ind. the new hp on the market today as will as mine
have three different-size (compactFlash) the little Sq.picture cudie that the pictures are on.
I have a Dell/9100 Dimension, the HP's are plug and play printers, anyway, the printer will come with a cd disk, thats the driver's for the printer. Download the cd on to your pc, the windows xp will fine the software, there will be a small Icon, on the lower right hand side of your tool tray it's call a F Drive the new printer will be able to talk to your pc, load the little sq. picture cudie into the side of the printer, and download you pictures from the cubie to the to the printer to the pc ,then you'll be able save your pictures to a folder, or burn then to a cd or print them out via the printer... Hope this may help you with you digital camera .....
