View Full Version : DVD-ROM drive disappeared after Firewire HDD

Does it show up in your system devices? If so, high light
the drive then click to remove. Restart your computer.
XP should find a new device when it restarts. If it
doesn't show in your system devices, double check your
ribbon cable connection (you did say you opened your
computer to install a card). You might even try swapping
the connection of your CDRW with the DVD connection to
rule out any ribbon probs...
