Hello...I'm running winxp on a 40gig HD that is
partitioned into 2- 20's The OS is on one and I use the
other for storage and back-up. I also have a 6gig
installed and I was wondering if I can install win98 on
it?? The 40gig is my primary master and my cd-rom is my
primary slave. The 6 gig is my secondary master. Can I
do this and what is the best way?? Thanks. Michael

Hi Michael,
if you want to keep both OS independent (no dual boot), you will have to set
the 6 gig HDD as the primary master every time you want to boot form it
(win98).

See my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to Win XP Tips
For Win9x/Me: Install 98/Me after XP is Installed.
For Windows 2000: Install Windows 2000 after XP is installed.

You can install it to any partition, as long as the boot drive is FAT/FAT32
and the partition you're installing to is FAT/FAT32.
