When I give the command "turn off" Windows XP "restarts"
instead, as it does when the "restart" command is given.
Why is this and how do I get Windows to turn off instead
of restart. Thanks, Doug APM is enabled.

Hi, Doug.
The starting point for troubleshooting shutdown problems is Jim Eshelman's

Thanks for the useful info. It looks like the Roxio Direct
CD program is the cause of the problem. Doug
