Desk Top Icons

Can anyone tell me how to get my desk top icons back?
I changed my task bar to show the desk top in the task
bar, now I'd like to change it back but I dont know how
to get my icons back on the screen, and off of the task
bar.

Right click the Taskbar, select Toolbars and uncheck Desktop. If your icons
are still missing, right click the Desktop, select Arrange Icons By and make
sure Show Desktop icons is checked.
