Windows explorer keeps going down

I have Win Xp Professional for last one yr.However I
started having problem with Win Explorer since last two
months or so.

For no reason whatsoever a Message is displayed saying
that Explorer has to close.Therafter most of my Tray
Icons also disappear.I ccan get them back only after
relogging.I have tried System Restore, Repair of the OS
and lastly reinstalled the OS but the problem has
remained.

I will be very grateful for any remedies.

Hi Manj,

To avoid restarting when it happens, just hit ctrl+shift+escape, and on =
the applications tab hit "new task", enter explorer.exe and hit "ok".

I suspect the problem originates in something you've installed on the =
system, be it a new program or an update to an existing one. It is =
likely something that loads at boot and runs in the background, you just =
need to figure out what. This can help:
