error problems and no scandisk?

i got windows xp and a i got a few errors i can't think
due to not having scandisk or any other error fixer.

can anyone help?

is there any other error fixer i can download?

Scandisk is now known as Check Disk:

Open the Command Prompt and type: CHKDSK /F , and hit enter.
Answer "yes" and reboot your computer.

1. Open XP's "Help and Support".
2. Look under "Pick a Help topic".
3. Click on "Performance and Maintenance"
