Why does the Windows XP begin to see a Zip disk only after clicking on the
Disk management in the Computer management in the Administrative tools?

I believe this is a know bug in XP, it sometimes thinks the ZIP drive *is* a
HD!

The Zip drive is named "Removable Disk D:" even before clicking on the Disk
management in the Computer management in the Administrative tools. Therefore
Windows XP Setup did not detect the Zip drive as a hard disk.

Interesting article. Does it mean that if the Zip drive is connected after
XP is installed, it will be correctly identified?
