Each time my brand new machine(1 1/2 weeks old) goes into hibernation mode it returns to a black screen with an error message then to another Windows error message then it proceeds to restart the computer(I think that's what it's doing) I must be able to
use this mode as I'm constantly pulled away from my computer. Please somebody help!!

Hi Corky,
Did it work initially? If so, then something you installed does not support
the hibernate function. You may need to uninstall it, or check for a patch
from the manufacturer. Or, you may need to make a decision about what is
more critical to you - the software or hibernate.
If it did not work initially, then take the 1 1/2 week old machine back and
have it attended to under warranty. Note that standby and hibernate will
simply_not_work on all systems. They depend largely on driver support for
the installed hardware. While on laptops the drivers are generally written
with this in mind, it is not always so on desktops.
