Have you downloaded any security updates lately? 811493
Hotfix was causing major slowdowns, if you have automatic
updates enabled, you most likely may have never seen what
update it was downloading, but who knows. Check in
add/remove programs and see if you have it. If you have
the first version, remove it and get the second version.
