View Full Version : Selective Startup By Profile or User?

In order to test/maximize hard drive write/read, can I
disable the network card and not load antivirus and other
software - but have my regular setup ready to go by
logging back on as my regular user name? I see how to
disable the network card through a hardware profile, but I
don't see how to handle selective startup through a
similar profile or user setting.

I won't list hardware, as there are a number of other
issues and I'm not sure what is relevant.

Thanks, Stan

Hi Stan,

Any easy way to do this is through System Configuration Utility. Start >> Run MSCONFIG.
