Processor driver

[XPTEX]

Can anyone tell me if processor driver version 5.1.2535.0
dated 7/1/2001 would be the latest version for an AMD
Athlon XP3200+ cpu ?

I have ran Windows Update without finding a newer driver,
just seems rather old.

Im sorry if this has appeared twice but I cant seem to
locate my prior post even with a search =(

I didn't realise you needed a driver for your processor, can any one confirm
this? I uninstalled my processer from device manager to see what it did and
it was a flop.nothing happened.It is quite possable that the processor shows
up in device manager just to let you see what you have. A confirmation on
this one would be nice

Processor driver for the CPU????? The driver you need to look for is your
MotherBoard drivers.

Yes, its a driver =) And its not part of my motherboard
drivers. Windows Update listed it but I guess it hasnt
needed an update in a while.
