I have a VIA chipset Board with 2 USB ports, when I
insert a USB game controller, WinXP dosent recognize the
device. It's a Saitek 200 4 button Flight Stick w/
Throttle control. It come up as an Unknown device. HELP
PLEASE !


All my USB devices do this.

I have an older Asus A7v board that has onboard USB ports also..I recently
added a PCI USB2.0 card to get the faster speed.. I guess that is what you
are looking for or maybe you're just saying you want the USB to work at any
speed (you didn't say)?? DId they evr work? If not, go into your BIOS and
make sure USB is enabled.

Have you installed the latest driver from VIA and have SP1 Installed???

I just read a VIA forum thread that stated that my board
was defective. My board type was reported to have errors.
