Canoscan FB320P Scanner.

I just cannot get xp Home edition to accept this scanner.
I have downloaded the updated drivers from canon but
still will not work. I also notice that canon scanners
are not listed in the xp add hardware wizard.
Please Please can anyone help

Noel - you have posted this message twice now.
If you'd like constructive suggestions, it would be helpful if outlined in
some detail the steps you have already taken and the specific error messages
you are getting. For example, what file did you download from Canon. How did
you try to install it? Was it necessary to remove prior versions of the
software before attempting installation? Some installation programs want
your scanner disconnected from the machine until you are asked to plug it
in, others don't seem to care.
What exactly is not working? Generally, you do not go through the windows
add hardware wizard when installing scanner drivers downloaded from the
manufacturer that are in exe form, such as ScanCraft 366 (which seems to be
the proper file for your scanner from Canon).

Are you sure you have downloaded xp drivers for your exact scanner.
