View Full Version : Unwanted task bar icon

I keep getting an icon on my task bar "Local Area
Connection. A Network Cable Is Unplugged". As I am now
on Broadband I don't need this icon. I've tried hiding it
under the "Always Hide" command but it always reappears
on boot up. Is there any way of permanently deleting it
from the task bar?
Many thanks,
BH

If you are no longer using this network connection then you can do this:
Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections ->
Right Click on Local Area Network
Then click Disable
And it shouldn't appear in your taskbar again!
Hope this helps
