I have an application running on XP. This application
needs to be able to recieve information from the serial
port on a continous basis. It has been noticed that every
so often, the application will loose the serial port, and
it may taken several reboots for the application to read
the port again. Once things are working again, the port
may be droped AGAIN.
I have been told that there may be an issue with XP, as
it 'grabs' the serial port, the reason for which was not
explained to me.
Can somebody please explain it to me, as my customer is
not a happy camper...
Thanks
