error 800C000B keeps coming up as an error therefore window media player for xp will not play videos.

Windows Media Player encounters error C00D11CD every time i try to play a downloaded film. I therefore think that Windows Media Player does not play films on Windows XP. can we get this sorted because i wasted two days downloading the film but i can't pla
y it.
