I currently have customers folders in the folder section
of Outlook Express. How do I copy them to my zip drive
in case of computer problems.

In OE, go Tools / Otions / Maintenance / Store folder and note the
location of your personal message store
In My Computer, set Tools / Folder options / View / Hidden Files &
Folders to "Show hidden files & folders"
Then you can locate the message store and drag / drop to zip.

Once I have these dbx files saved on another source, how would I put them back into OE if I had to?

Hi, MBEgal.
I'm not familiar with PCBanter.net, but surely there is a method to continue
an existing conversation, rather than start a new one without showing the
prior question(s) and answer(s). Unless you use the Reply button (or
whatever PCBanter provides), your original helper might never see your
follow-up question. If it offers the option, you should also "Include
original" (or whatever) so that the context of the thread to date will be
included in your new post.
OE's dbx files are saved in the Store Folder. You can locate this in OE by
clicking Tools | Options..., then the Maintenance tab, then the Store
Folder... button. Copying contents of this folder to a Zip drive (or other
location) should not erase them from here, so just continue to use them. If
they DO get erased, you will need to copy them back. There are a few rules
about the contents of the Folders.dbx and other special folders. You'd be
better advised to ask these questions in an OE newsgroup or at MVP Tom
Koch's website: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/
