Have an older 20gig Hdrive (ata33) that's Full :-) Want to
replace it with my Brand new 80gig ata100 Hdrive.
Problem is I want to copy/transfer all my old contents to
my new drive.. and I just discovered the 32 gig Partition
limit to Fat32.. Have had Multiple partions before, don't
want them again. So NTFS seems the route.. Will ALL my
files/Data/Games still work after conversion??
I presume so but I've had Surprises before.
In theory then I should copy the entire contents of the
old drive to the new one.. Then convert files systems?
Also What is best Cable configuration for two missmatched
drives? Individual cables on seperate IDE plugs or 2 on
one cable? if so Presumably the old er drive is the
Master?? and is there a compatibilty problem given the
slightly different cable type used by the ATA100 drive?

Yes a lot of questions.. but answers to these could make
this always 'troublesome' Drive replacement less
stressfull.
Thanx
