Hi.....got to get the missus on oe ...just got her an
email with yahoo...can i get it to run on OExpress? Nope!
I know this is an OE rather than XP problem but you lot
are spot on...thought there might be someone out there
who can advise me on this simple task.

When I switch to her identity I get a box requesting her
identity and password. How do i either check this info
or change it to make sure i can get her on line?

THe following is the error Mx if it helps. THanks for
your time in advance. Its appreciated. any chance of
replying to my email? I'm not too bright with this
thing...!
Gary

It should be pop.btinternet.com, at least it was for me when I used them,
and you appear not to have entered your password correctly - it's case
sensitive.

I can collect my Yahoo mail (should I chose to do so)
via OE, because mine is yahoo.co.uk :-

While the official line from Yahoo for US- and Canada-based
accounts is that you can't, there is an unsupported (by Yahoo...sshh!)
alternative:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yahoopops/

If your Yahoo account is based in another country (e.g.,
http://uk.yahoo.com/, http://au.yahoo.com/), POP Access in a Mail Client
such as OE is still provided without charge. But you have to go to your
account on the web and choose Mail Options/Pop Access and Forwarding.

The moral being if you want a free pop access a/c from Yahoo, sign up
for a UK one!

PS. If you are using BTInternet, you can get her a BTInternet address
which is much easier than setting up Yahoo via OE. She will have her own
email address and password which you can configure under
tools>accounts>mail>add. To get the email address etc., log on to your
BT account via the web.
(You may be confused about the Yahoo bit of BTInternet? Because they
have joined together? This is not the same as a Yahoo email address.)
