Writer does not write after SP1

System: Epox 8RDA+, 512mb RAM, 80GB HDD, ASUS CRW-4012A
Writer, GF4 MX440 Video card, Nero 5.5.8 & CloneCD.
Whole system (including writer) worked well prior to
installing SP1. I have downloaded all latest
drivers/BIOS for hardware & software, still no joy.
Writer reads, plays, creates image files, but on
attempting to write fails.
Any help appreciated.

When burning your cd... select the max burning speed of your drive
(instead of just MAX).
