Hi,

I downloaded service Pack 1 for XP home edition.

But during the install I received the following error
message and the install aborted.

"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
UPDATE.INF. Make sure the Cryptographic service is
running on this computer."

Can anybody tell me how I can overcome this problem,
please.

Hi Ray,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the =
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the SP1 installation. When =
finished, there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete =
the old renamed one.
