Am upgrading my Full 20 gb drive to 80 gb.. would like to
transfer most of my files.
Problem: old drive is Fat32 new one will have to be NTFS
(hate partitions:-)
What is best method/time to "convert" the existing Fat32
to NTFS?? (presumably Converting will not affect PGM/Game
functionality??)

If you want to copy data files and not system files you can place both
drives in the same system (one as master and the other as slave) and use
Windows Explorer to copy the files from the old 20 GB to the new 80 GB
already formatted as NTFS.
If you want to copy the original system files (Windows) to be able to boot
the new drive, you will need a program that will create or copy a disk image
(Drive Image, program supplied with some new drives, etc.) Convert to NTFS
once you get the new drive booting and running under Fat 32 (You will either
need to format the 80 GB drive as Fat 32 using Windows 9X OS's Format
command since XP's Format will only support formatting as Fat 32 about 32
GB. You could use a partitioning program such as Partition Magic to increase
the size of the partition to the full 80 GB if formatted using XP. This
program will also convert to NTFS for you.)
