I upgraded Office 2000 to Office XP Pro but it seems I
still have copies of Office 2000 installed because they
show in "Add/Remove Programs". Can I uninstall them
without screwing up Office XP?

I would guess that the reason for office 2000 still being in the add/remove
applet would be if you decided to downgrade, you could uninstall office xp
and then try uninstalling office 2000. When prompted what you wish to do in
the office 2000 uninstall, you would select repair.

Even if you wish to never do that, it is probably not a good idea as some
files may still be in use that were part of office 2000.

When you install Office XP, you are given the option of keeping or deleting
previous versions of MSOffice. Both versions can co-exist on the system.
Check in Add and Remove software, you should have an uninstall there for
Office 2K.
