I was optimizing my system from a help site that said to speed up your
system, set your virtural memory to No Paging File. Defrag your hard drive.
Then set the page file to System Managed Size or Custom Size. Everything
worked great until I tried to set the Virtual Memory back. If I chose
System Managed Size or Custom Size, as soon as I hit the SET button I go to
the blue screen of death while it downloads memory to the hard drive. Any
suggestions?

Jay

Most running apps require a page file. Disable all running tasks, then try
to set it. What ever website told you to diable the page file needs to read
up on memory usage.
Microsoft recommends putting hte page file on a separate partition, or
better yet, another disk.

Try booting into Safe Mode and then setting the Virtual Memory back to
System Managed size.

Good luck

Thanks for all the help. I booted into safe mode and changed the value
there. All is well.
