Floppy Drive Stops working after loading win_XP

I have tried it with 4-5 Computers. when I load Win_xp on
a perfectly working computer its floopy drive stops
working. On the same comp if I try to boot it from floppy
drive with win_98 boot floopy it works in dos.

When you say stops working can you elaborate a bit. Do you mean when you
insert a floppy disc the drive won't list any of the data on the disc. If
you click the floppy icon in explorer or press F5 (refresh) does the floppy
light come on but nothing lists in explorer or what. I ask because there is
a known problem relating to formatting of floppies and xp. Can you be more
specific to the exact details of your situation. It would be easier than me
spouting on about all the possible causes when knowing more about your
particular problem might let me or someone else know what's going on.
