My windows xp system goes hang once a day !!!

Hi all,
I have this problem: more or less, once a day, my laptop
hangs... and I don't have any idea about why it happens...
It seems related to my mouse and windows-media player 9
series because it happens when I move the mouse pointer
and windows-media is playing something...
I work on Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000. I installed
everything "windos update" suggested me.
I think this is an other prove of Microsoft
unreliability. It's not possible to work in this way: I
think I'm going to install linux.

Could anyone help me ?
