The DMessengerEvents::OnAppShutdown event is only fired if the client is
forced to shut down in order to complete a mandatory upgrade.
Is it possible to detect a user-requested exit?
I want to avoid that pesky "There are other applications currently using
features provided by Messenger" dialog.
