I have a Micron Transport V1000 with a Desktop P4 2.4
ghz, and whenever I plug in the AC cord, after a while,
my system process, not the system idle process, will go
to 100, and the OS (Windows XP SP1) will lag extremely
hard. Sometimes I will walk away from the computer, my
screen saver will come on, I'll come back, and it will
have frozen, but as soon as I unplug the AC adapter it
comes back, full steam, no problem. The problem is this
laptop eats juice like no tomorrow, and I need to have
the battery plugged in almost all the time.
Does anyone know of a fix for this? I found an article
in the KB but it says to contact MS for it and to click
this link to get it from MS, and that link has me contact
my manufacturer who I contacted and says Microsoft has a
fix coming out in SP2... Has anyone heard of this and if
so, can you please help?
