Can anyone please tell me why I am showing an extra CD drive in My Computer.
It never used to show and I cannot seem to get rid of it. Any suggestions
would be very welcome. Thanks a lot.

How did you try to get rid of it? Did you delete it from device manager. Why
it happened anyone can only speculate. Could have been a bad connection and
Plug and play detected it when powering on.

It is not even showing in Device Manager so where has it come from and why
is it there.

What exactly is it called in Explorer?
Some programs such as CloneCD create a Virtual Drive.

It is shown as a CD drive and is labelled I drive. I have managed to stop it
showing by using tweakUI to hide it now. thanks for responding John.
