Laserjet6L doesn't work with Windows XP

I have Windows XP and a Laserjet 6L. The printer is
defined "ready" by OS but it doesn't work.
Before I had Windows 95 and the printer worked. I have
also downloaded new driver from HP site, but without
results.
Could somebody help me?
