Bought a new motherboard (Gigabyte GA-7VAX-A) when i
swapped over XP detected all the devices on new board an
worked fine. Decided just for the sake of a clean
environment i'd re-install XP pro.
Files copy over at the initial Blue Screen stage of
install no probs. Then after the 1st reboot i get :
STOP : c000021a {FATAL SYSTEM ERROR}
The session manager initialization system process
terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c
(0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.
just after the windows logo stage of boot
can't even get in to ask a pro cos i cant get my PID from
XP-Pro cos i cant get it installed.
Anyone run into this or similar? Obv i have switched
everything off in BIOS, taken everything out of pci slots
and tried 3 gfx cards.

perhaps i should've said that i'm re-installing onto my
nicely re-formatted system partition (re-formatted by XP
install and by partition progs off a dos boot) and i
certainly am no novice.
