Sun Microsystems 20" Monitor Mod20E20

bought a 20 inch 1997 color sun microsystems monitor made
by sony, at agarage sale. went to sun.com to check for
trouble shooting procedures to determine if monitor is pc
compatable and trouble shooting procedures. the 20 inch
monitor works with pc's but but not XP. works with all
windows operating systems except winxp. does any one have
a solution other than reinstalling win 2000 pro on a
second hard drive or second operating system. using one
64 meg video card and one 32 meg video card. bought the
adapter for the video cord. conducted the tests on the
monitor to determine if iot works, push contrast and
brightness buttons at the same time while unpluged from
computer, and seven colors should show. ya it works. i
just wanted this 20 inch $10 monitor to work. Any ideas?

Maybe they sold it for a good reason. It may be defective, and you could run
around for a month trying to fix it!
