I keep two User Accounts for security purposes:
Administrator and Limited. I use the Limited account for
day-to-day stuff like browsing and e-mail.

I use Outlook 2003 installed on XP Pro.

XP Pro won't let me back up Outlook files in the Limited
account, due to permissions. It won't let me download
the Backup Tool to the account. I'm allowed to download
the backup tool to the Admin account, but that does me no
good, since I virtually never use the Admin account for e-
mail. Downloading the tool to the Admin account does not
make it available in the Limited account.

How do I give myself permission to backup Outlook files
in my Limited account?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi,

Do this simple way.

Log in as administrator and then grant elavated permissions to the limited account so that it can do the backup. This is because this tasks can be done only by the administrator.

Then after you have completed the backup of the files then revert back to the limited account privileges.
