View Full Version : Windows Media Issue

This is an existing issue I've had on this computer for
the past year or so off and on... I'm on Windows XP Pro,
SP2. It is regarding an issue I was having with Windows
Media Player 9 Series. Whenever I attempt to stream
content thru the player off the internet, whether video or
audio, the player crashes. The error message I receive
states that the issue is occuring with the
file "wininet.dll" version 6.0.2800.1405. How is it
possible that this dll file is being corrupted over and
over again... if that is indeed the issue at all?

There are no DivX components on my system, and no other
programs seem to be interfering. Can anyone offer any
assistance with this issue? I'll provide additional
information if necessary, thank you in advance.
