i opened my hard drive and took my processor out
i was so silly enough to drop it by accident and
a little chip fell off i was really worried because i
thought it wouldn't work and my computer was broke
so i put the processor back in and it seems to be working
fine.

1) Hard drives do not have processors
2) Why did you remove it?
3) What kind of CPU is it?
4) Describe the "little chip" - if it's an Athlon (brown or green with a
little silver rectangular 'die' on top) do you mean that's the chip that
fell off?
5) You cannot open a hard drive - if you did your computer wouldn't be
working.

I assume you're talking about your CPU?
