Recently I Upgraded my windows xp version by using the
product code & the CD. Afterwards I begin to recieve
numerous Messenger Service pop ups. Some using my
name, they are all mostly ads for privacy, stopping popup
ads, etc. They claim to be able to get to my computer
through something in the windows program. I never had
this problem before.I am also connected to the internet
by my cable company so even though I am not using the
internet, the connection is there. These messages pop up
and interupt games or other things I may be doing at the
time (not online). If I stay signed onto the computer
there are at least 13 or more of these messages when I
return to the computer. Is there something that needs to
be done or that I can do to correct this problem?

Search Google for xp and you will find sites and information galore. There
is about 4 ways you can disable or eliminate the INTRUSIVE Messenger since
many spammers are figuring out way to use it.
