I have "lost" my cd roms on my computer. I can't get the system to

Thank you,
Nancy

For an automated fix for this issue:
CD Rom or DVD Not Listed in Explorer/My Computer
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cd_dvd_fix.htm

Remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values completely from the
following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11C
E-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to the branch indicated above, locate
the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values. Right click each and select
Delete.
