Hi,

Went to MS updates. Tried to down load Office XP update SP1 and SP2. Also
Office XP update small business Tools 2000. They will go to the end then
either will state that there is an error and no error number or they can't
find the program to load it down. Tried to load Windows XP 811493 and
Q815021XP update and again error found but no error number.

Thanks
Ben Deffendoll

Hello Micheal,

Make sure you are a local admin on this computer. If that doesn't help, try
running the following commands to register these files:

regsvr32 Appwiz.cpl
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Jscript.dll
regsvr32 Msi.dll
regsvr32 Oledb32.dll
regsvr32 Msado15.dll
regsvr32 Mshtmled.dll

I hope this helps...

I have the same problem so I tried doing what you suggested...
but >regsvr32 Oledb32.dll and regsvr32 Msado15.dll both failed - said
load library failed, specified module could not be found.

Where are they? Do I need them?

Hi Marc,

Start/run sfc /scannow

Or, use the expand file function from the general tab of msconfig =
(start/run).

Hi Robert,

I am just a beginner on a computer. I do not understand how to run the
register files. Please give me a step by step. Please, I do not mean to
belittle your help. I just don't want to mess it up more. Again, thanks
for your help.

Hi Michael,

Simply click start/run, then type in one of the lines (commands) Robert =
listed and click "ok". After you get the success message, type in the =
next one and repeat. None of this will harm your computer. Continue =
through all of them, you are just reregistering the files with the =
system. Post back if it does not help, or if you get an error message =
about a file failing to register or not being found.
