How are MSN Messenger and Windows=AE Messenger different?=20
http://messenger.msn.com/support/helphome.asp?client=3D1#Q1b

Open "Windows Messenger" and from the Toolbar select
Tools > Options > Preferences and uncheck:

"Run this program when Windows starts" and
"Allow this program to run in the background", then
click OK.

Next, open Outlook Express and from the Toolbar select
Tools > Options and under the General tab uncheck
"Automatically log on to Windows Messenger" and click
APPLY.

Finally, reboot your computer.

| I've been reading a windowsxp magazine that advises turning
| off/deleting windows messenger. It is just a tip & doesn't really say
