Can't see Smart Media Drive in My Computer

I cannot see the Smart Media Drive in My Computer under
Windows XP. I can see it under system manager installed
as a USB disk drive. I have tried uninstalling it and
then plugging it back into the USB port and it installs
plug-n-play immediately but when I try to access it via
Windows Explorer it is not there. I have done this on my
other computer with Windows XP installed and it worked
just fine. I tried uninstalling and then installing via
the provided CD and it still does not show up in Windows
Explorer.
